Nestled in the Shark Bay World Heritage Area, François Peron National Park is a treasure trove of natural beauty and adventure. Named after the French naturalist and explorer François Péron, this stunning park offers a unique blend of red desert landscapes, pristine white beaches, and crystal-clear turquoise waters. For those seeking a true outback experience combined with coastal charm, François Peron National Park is an unmissable destination.
Cape Peron, at the northernmost tip of the park, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding coastline. The red cliffs contrasted against the blue ocean create a striking visual. This area is also excellent for fishing, with a variety of species inhabiting the waters.

Getting There
Located about 800 kilometers north of Perth, François Peron National Park is accessible via the coastal town of Denham. From Denham, it’s a short drive to the park’s entrance. One of our 4WD vehicles is recommended to navigate the sandy tracks and rough terrain. All the equipment to drive on sand is provided and for those with less experience will be provided with a tutorial.
Accommodation and Facilities
While the park is a remote and rugged destination, it does offer some basic facilities for visitors. Camping is available at designated sites like Big Lagoon, Gregories, and South Gregories, providing a chance to experience the outback under the stars. There are no shops or services within the park so that's why we provide you with water and the necessities for living off the grid.
